KVK Bellampalli Mancherial organized the training programme on Sensitization on ICT applications (AKPS, M-Kisan) to rural youth on 05.11.2020 at KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial district. In this programme, Sorghum (Variety: kinnera (MJ – 278) with bio-fertilizers and tarpaulins under Tribal Sub-Plan were distributed to the Tribal farmers. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK Mancherial addressed the men and women farmers about the ICT applications in agriculture and use of different agriculture apps. e-NAM is an online platform to sell the farm produce throughout the country. Further, added information on farm bills and briefed about the online services provided by KVK, Bellampalli in view of doubling the farmers income and weather based information were updated to farmers through AKPS, M-Kisan etc. At the end, added information on the importance of sorghum in relation to human health in terms of nutrition value to maintain balanced diet. Sri Sathyanarayana, ZP Vice-Chairman, Mancherial addressed the gathering about the KVK activities in doubling of the farmers income by providing high yielding varieties to the farmers and also appreciated dedicated works of the KVK towards the Tribal farmers under Tribal Sub-Plan. Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Extension) interacted with the farmers on the benefits of online services like AKPS, e-NAM and M-Kisan and explained the role of these services in enhancing their livelihoods. Later, collected individual farmer details for farmers networking by registration in the AKPS. This programme was attended by Sri Gomasa Srinivas, MPP, Bellampalli, Sri Venkataswamy, Sarpanch, Kannala, Sri A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection), Dr I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production), Smt U Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture), Dr B. Sathish Kumar, SMS (Agrometeorology) and Sri R. Mahesh Kumar, SRF (Fisheries) were participated in the meeting. About 37 No. of men and women farmers were attended from Patnapur and Gondguda villages of Jainoor and Thandur mandals respectively.
