Birth Anniversary celebrations of Sri Babu Jagjivan Ram at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 05-04-2022

Birth anniversary of Sri. Babu Jagjivan Ram was celebrated at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 05.04.2021. Dr. V. Bharathi, in charge Associate Dean, garlanded the photo of Babu jagjivan Ram and paid floral tributes and she stated that Babu Jagjivan Ram was instrumental in the foundation of the all India Depressed classes League which fights for the untouchables and he also one of the pioneers of Rural Labour movement. He also served as Union minister with various portfolios for more than forty years. His contribution to the Green Revolution in India and modernizing Indian agriculture, during his two tenures as Union Agriculture Minister are still remembered. Today, he is regarded as a Dalit icon who dedicated his life for the betterment of the untouchables. The staff and students paid homage to Babu jagjivan Ram with flowers and remembered his valuable contributions to the nation.
