CA-Aswaraopeta - Raitu Dinotsavam on 03.06.2023

As part of Telanagana Rashtra Avatarana Dashabdi Utsavaalu Farmer day was organized and celebrated in befitting manner in Agricultural College Aswaraopet in the gracious presence of Chief guest of the programme Sri. Mechha Nageswararao, MLA, Aswaraopet constituency. The programme was started by inauguration of Agricultural Exhibition by the chief guest. Sri. Mechha Nageswara Rao, MLA, Aswaraopet interacted with the students, NSS volunteers and private input company members about the advanced and innovative farmer friendly technologies exhibited and displayed in the stalls. Later chief guests and other guests of the programme lighted the lamp. Dr.Syed Ahmad Hussain, Associate Dean of the college presided over the meeting. He addressed the chief guest and guests of the programme with a welcome note. He delivered speech on the Telanagana government schemes and programmes related to the benefit of Telangana farming community. On behalf of the college students and staff he expressed his gratitude for the enormous support from the MLA Sri. Mechha Nageswara Rao for the development of Agricultural College. The chief guest, Sri. Mechha Nageswararao, MLA, Aswaraopet constituency has motivated the students to achieve higher goals and contribute to the welfare of Telangana Farming community. He has praised the efforts of the students and staff in organizing the Agricultural Exhibition. The chief guests and guests of the programme distributed blood donation certificates to the NSS volunteers. Later Raitusadassu was organized. About 60 farmers from the villages Naramvari gudem, Perayigudem, Kothagangaram have attended the programme. Dr.K.Gopala Krishna Murthy extended presidential address. In Raitusadassu Dr.Syed Ahmad Hussain, Associate Dean delivered astonishing speech on Nutrient management in major crops, Dr.I.V.Sreenivasa Reddy, Associate Professor (HORT) enlightened the farmers about Best package of practices in Oilpalm, Dr K Naganjali, Assistant Professor (AGRO) delivered speech on Best package of practices in maize, paddy and groundnut, Dr P Reddy Priya, Assistant professor (Agril. Microbiology) explained about the Production and use of bioagents. Dr.M.Ramprasad, Assistant Professor (SS&AC) conveyed the important technologies about Soil Health Management, Dr K. Shireesha, Assistant Professor (AEXT) created awareness about Agri-enterpreneuship opportunities, Dr. P. Neelima, Assistant Professor (HORT) explained about the Post Harvest Management in Horticulture Crops and Dry flower crafting and Dr P Srilatha, Assistant Professor (PATH) delivered speech on Pests and Disease Management in different crops. Later the farmers have interacted actively with the scientists and clarified their doubts regarding crop management. The farmers have visited the agricultural exhibition and gained awareness on latest technologies like hydro ponics, Aries Agro pvt ltd instant soil test kit, multi micronutrient usage, IFFCO Nano urea application, different farm implements models, gardening tools and equipments, solar dryer, mushroom cultivation, biofertilisers and charts depicting different plant breeding technologies and environment protection. The vote of thanks was extended by Dr.V.Venkanna, Professor & Head, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agricultural college, Aswaraopet. The programme was organized by the active involvement of the all teaching, non-teaching staff, outsourcing, timescale workers, NSS volunteers and students of the college.
