College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy organized a programme on Demonstration and Distribution of Vegetable Transplanter and Battery Operated Sprayers to SC Farmers in the Adopted Village, Kashipur on 06th, November, 2021 under SC- sub plan-2020-21. As a part of the programme, demonstration of Vegetable Transplanter and Battery Operated Sprayers have been conducted. The advantage of using Vegetable Transplanter is not only reducing the time and labour consumption but also decreasing the cost of cultivations and reducing the drudgery. Usually 1 acre of land requires 10-12 labour for planting 8000 to 10000 seedlings and in case of mulching, piercing process requires a lot of time and money. Whereas 3-4 labour per acre is enough for transplanting with vegetable manual transplanter. 12V * 12 AH rechargeable battery sprayers were distributed to the SC farmers to make use of technology by using the rechargeable battery instead of the conventional handle-lever systems to provide relief to farmers. These sprayers equipped with a portable charger for quick recharging and also outfitted with different types of nozzles and accessories for easy cleaning and it is also cost effecive. The programme has been witnessed by Associate Dean, along with Adopted village committee members and 10 farmers participated in the programme. The programme was organized by following safety measures on Covid-19.
