Farm journalism is considered an effective tool in diffusion of Dairy, Agricultural and Horticultural technologies among the farming communities. Various forms of Farm journalism are used by different organizations in order to address the community problems. The on campus training programme was organized at EEI, Rajendranagar Hyderabad from 31st October to 04th November 2023. During the Ice breaking, Bridge the ball icebreaker is conducted to inculcate creative thinking, cooperation and leadership skills in the team. 6 chairs ice breaker is conducted to enlighten the trainees on time management, leadership skills, listening, decision making and problem solving skills. During Hands on training is given in blog designing, website and youtube channel creation, uploading of videos and images, photo and video capturing and editing using mobiles, dissemination of latest information through blended traditional and digital media, application of mobile apps for pest and disease diagnosis, lightening alerts, land area measurement, production and dissemination of messages using PICVOICE app. During inauguration, Dr R. Vasantha, Director in charge conducted the inauguration by explaining about importance of farm journalism to extension officers and changing meaning of journalism. During valediction, Dr M. Jaganmohanreddy, Director, EEI attended the valedictory and indicated that farmers can be motivated by farm journalism through fine tuning of skills. He also advised the trainees to apply the learnings back home. A total of 18 participants from Dept. of Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Trainees expressed that photo and video making and editing are very useful for them back home. Developing and transfer of messages and posters using CANVA, PICVOICE apps is found to be very easy and innovative. The programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Vasantha, Professor, EEI, Hyderabad.
