College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar Celebrates World Photography Day with Enthusiasm and Creativity

The College of Agriculture in Rajendranagar marked World Photography Day on August 19th with a spirited celebration.The event showcased the artistic talents of students and photography enthusiasts, fostering a deep appreciation for the power of visual storytelling. Mr. P. V. Shiva Kumar, Rtd. Senior Photographer, The Hindu was the Chief Guest of the programme and Dr. Seema, Dean of Agriculture, and Member Board of Management, PJTSAU, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Student Affairs, PJTSAU, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean and Member Board of Management, PJTSAU, Dr. B. Savitha, Professor and In charge of Photography Club were the part of the celebration. College students spoke about their experiences about Photography. Chief guest Sri P.V Siva Kumar shared his valuable message regarding photography. Guests of Honour also shared their stories and importance of photography related to agriculture. A photography Contest was conducted to the Students of College of Agriculture, Rajendrangar on 2 themes viz., Nature through lens and Understanding clouds. A total of 97 entries were received and among those six winners were finalised with the help of Electronic wing, PJTSAU. Dr.M. Srinivasulu, Coordinator and Mr. Srinivas, Multimedia Expert acted as Judges for evaluation of 97 entries. The winners of the contest under theme, Nature through lens include, Mr. Mohammad Saud, RAD/2022-03 (1st Prize), Mr. Ganesh Pallela,CARA/2021-108 (2nd Prize) and Mr. Bhasker Nayeni, CARA/2021-049 ( 3rd Prize) and under theme Understanding clouds the winners were, Mr. V. Sai Sairam, RAM/2022-109 (1st Prize), Mr. Abhinay CARA/2021-022 (2nd Prize) and Mr. Ustem Sai Kumar (3rd Prize). On the occasion of World Photgraphy Day 2023 celebrations, Artist cum photographer, Mr. R.Srinivas was felicitated. The highlight of the event was the captivating video display that showcased the photographic works of participants.
