Republic Day Celebrations at College of Community Science, Saifabad, PJTSAU, Hyderabad on 26-01-2023

College of Community Science celebrated Republic day with great patriotic fervor at its lawn on 26.01.2023. The event saw particpation from all the UG, PG, and Ph.D students and teaching and non-teaching staff. The flag was hoisted by the Dean, Faculty of Community Science, Dr. D. Ratna Kumari. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. D. Ratna Kumari, Dean, Faculty of Community Science threw light on new things that India can be proud of such as G20 presidency. The make-in-India initiative significance was explained with the example of 105 mm Indian field guns used for firing 21 Gun salute in Delhi, on the Republic Day.The significance of Republic Day was explained and implored the students to fondly remember the sacrifice of the martyrs. The students were asked to focus on their studies and extracurricular activities with equal zeal and fervour. The message given to the teaching staff was to uphold the quality of education in Community Science in the coming years and to churn out human capital worthy of our great nation. She implored the staff to give their strong representation in the university and to lead the faculty with a strong leadership. A total of a hundred and twenty five students participated in the event. Ms. Khushi, CHCS-2021-011, II-year B.Sc. student gave a speech in Hindi discussing the efforts put forth by the great leaders to draft the constitution that could withstand the test of times. Ms. B. Shilpa, CHCS-2020-005, explained in telugu, the way constitution was formulated in India. Ms. K. Nagamani, CHCS-2019-034, explained in detail about the efforts put forth by the architect of our Indian constitution, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Ms. P. Parimala, CHCS-2020-049, B.Sc. (Hons.) III-year Community Science student enthralled the audience with a Telugu patriotic song emphasizing about the importance of flag and flag hoisting on this great day. The struggles of the freedom fighters were remembered lyrically through the song. The event saw the participation of the tiny tots of HDFS department, with Ms. Khushi CHCS-2021-011, II-year B.Sc. student as the host.
