KVK, Malyal organized “Save Soil campaign cum awareness programme” on the occasion of World Earth Day at Kantayapalem Village of Thorrur Mandal on 22-04-2022. Dr. N.Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), KVK, Malyal addressed the gathering and explained about the importance of soil for agriculture, he emphasized the soil conservation technologies in the Agriculture and role of soil testing in improving soil health and fertility status. In this programme K. Sandeep PA (Lab Tech.), KVK, Malyal, A.E.O of Kantayapalem, bout 35 farmers attended. On this occasion Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal also attended a guest speaker in a training programme on organic farming (under ATMA) cum awareness campaign on World Earth Day organized by Brahma Kumaries, Narsampet at Rythuvedika, Narsampet. She explained about need for switching over to “Reduction, Reuse and Recycling” concept in Agriculture was highlighted and integrated management practices in organic farming for conservation agriculture. 84 no.of farmers from Narsampet division, 11 department officials from Narsampet division of Warangal district and 19 Brahma Kumaries participated in the programme.
