Chief General Manager, Nabard, Telangana Visit To ARS, Kampasagar on 30-12-2022

Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar has organized a training programme on “Capacity Building to the Agricultural Officers/Agricultural Extension Officers and Farmers on Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) for Nagarjunasagar Ayacut Areas” at ARS, Kampasagar under NABARD project on 30-12-2022. Dr. N. Lingaiah, Senior Scientist & Head, ARS, Kampasagar has given progress report and activities taken up under this project for the year, 2022-23. Smt. Susheela Chintala, Chief General Manager (CGM), NABARD, Telangana has attended as chief guest and highlighted the importance of crop diversification and judicious use of fertilizers for soil health management. Dr. M. Goverdhan, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Palem has attended the meeting as special invitee and suggested the farmers to adopt Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) in the present scenario for better income generation. Smt. Susheela Chintala, Chief General Manager has visited the one hectare model IFS unit. Later, drone seeding was taken up in an area of one acre in the presence of officers and farmers. In this programme, KVK, PC, Dr. Srnivas Rao, Scientists Dr. V. Sridhar, Dr. G. Shiva Prasad from ARS, Dr. T. Himabindu, Dr. Pallavi from KVK and Dr. T. Kiran Babu, Dr. Spandana from RRI, R’nagar and NABARD officials, department officials and farmers have participated.
