Hon’ble District Collector and Magistrate, Mahabubabad visited KVK, Malyal on 06-07-2022

Sri K. Shashanka Hon’ble District Collector and Magistrate, Mahabubabad visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal on 06-07-2022. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator apprised the District Collector on KVK’s Mandate, farmer’s participatory extension activities, various ongoing projects of the institute like Tribal Sub Plan Project, SCSP Project, DAMU Project, ARYA Project, maintenance of demonstration units at KVK instructional farm for the benefit of farming community and other extension activities taken up by the KVK. The District Collector visited the information center of KVK, Malyal. On this occasion, he distributed Honey bee rearing boxes to the ARYA project beneficiaries of Malyal village. Later, after planting a sapling in the premises, the Collector addressed the KVK team. Appreciated the efforts of KVK team. He reiterated that job of Agriculture scientist manifests in the form of adoption of technologies in farmer’s fields which gives immense satisfaction. He pointed out that KVK should work in unison with Agriculture Department to reduce pesticide consumption, increase green manure crop acreage, increase water saving technologies in different crops of the district. He also advised the KVK team to bring out a monthly news letter from KVK for the benefit of Mahabubabad farmers and also suggested to start a toll free helpline number exclusively for Mahabubabad farmers.
