DAATTC-ARS, Karimnagar and RAWEP students organized Rythu Sadassu and Agricultural Exhibition and Farmers Scientists Interaction on 05-11-2022

DAATTC-ARS, Karimnagar and RAWEP students organized Rythu Sadassu and Agricultural Exhibition and Farmers Scientists Interaction on 05-011-2022 at Mamidipalli village of Konaraopeta mandal in Rajanna Siricilla District. The programme was started with stalls exhibition inauguration and visit by the officials and farmers. Then the RAWEP students Miss. Bhavani Priya and Miss. Gnana Prasanna welcomed dignitaries on to the dias and also welcomed the farmers to the programme and briefed about the main essence of the programme. Dr. G. Manulatha, Principal Scientist & Head, ARS, Karimnagar has explained about the importance of RAWEP programme its objectives and activities taken up in the allotted villages and also explained the importance of Crop Diversification and the details of alternate crops to Paddy. Dr.N. Venkateshwar Rao, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Jammikunta has explained about the HDPS in Cotton, Soil Fertility Management and Pink Boll Worm management technologies. Then AGM, NABARD Mr. Manoher Reddy has briefed about the schemes related to the agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry and strengthening of Farmer Producers Organizaton (FPO). Dr. V. Ravinder Reddy, Principal Scientist & Head, Vertebrate Pest Management, Hyderabad explained about Birds, monkey menace and wild boars management practices in the crops by using the eco devices. Then Dr. I. Aruna Sri, Scientist (Ento.) has showed the demo on Agri Canon, Electric Canon and Solar fencing with the help of Gamyam technologies, Hyderabad. Then Mr. Naveen Reddy, Seed Certification Officer, Karimnagar has explained about the seed act rules & regulations and importance of quality seed for the crop and seed production process in paddy. Then Mr. Bhaskar, ADA, Vemulawada briefed about the pest problems occurred in the crops during the Vanakalam, 2022 and precautionary measures to be followed by the farmers. Dr. M. Rajendraprasad, Scientist (CP) has explained the management of pest & diseases in major crops. The chief guest of the Programme, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Polasa, Dr. Narender Reddy explained the importance RAWE Programme for the students and thanked to the farmers who given accommodation for students and also thanked all teh farmers who supported practical learning for students in the field. Then Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) has briefed about the PJTSAU publications & Mobile apps for the benefit of farming community. He also emphasized farmers to get subscribe PJTSAU You Tube channel for latest updates in agriculture technologies. He said that farmers can contact directly with the Toll free number 14426 or 1800 123 2175 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry and fisheries and given vote of thanks to all the officials and farmers for attending this programme. Then demonstration on Drone Spray was organized. Sarpanch-Smt. Kokkula Bharathi Narsaiah, MPP-Sri. Chandraiah Goud, MPTC – Sri. Prabhakar Rao, PACS Chairman- Sri. Banda Narsaih, MRBS Coordinator- Sri. Prathapa Reddy, VRBS Coordinator- Sri. Srinivas Reddy, Sarpanch, Nagulamalyala-Sri. Nayini Prasad, PACS Director-Sri. Kishan Reddy, Aadarsha Society Chairman – Sri. Venu Gopal and 150 farmers and 36 RAWEP Students were participated in the programme.
