D.A.A.T.T.C., Karimnagar organised Awareness Programme on Agricultural Information Sources for the benefit of Farming Community on 28-08-2021 at Rajanna Siricilla District

Nowadays, information is a basic necessity of everyday life. For anything and everything information is required. Information can be obtained or retrieved from a variety of sources. Lack of agricultural information has been identified, as the most powerful deterrent to the farmers in the whole gamut of agricultural system. In the changing scenario, agriculture is becoming information oriented, and access to accurate and adequate information is very essential, for increasing agricultural production and productivity. In farm management, the decisions are guided by information. Farmers are therefore engaged in information search, in order to fill the information gap and to satisfy their goals. Keeping this in mind, DAATTC Karimnagar has organized an Awareness programme on Agricultural Information Sources for the benefit of Farming Community at Racharla Gollapalli village of Yellareddypeta mandal in Rajanna Siricilla District. Sri. K. Shekar, Coordinator & Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) of DAATTC, Karimnagar were created awareness among the farmers on different information sources available for the farmers especially focused on Vyvasaayam magazine, Telangana Diksuchi, Chenukaburlu, YouTube Channel published by PJTSAU. Later on Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) has explained about the use of ICT tools in agriculture. MAO – Sri. Bhuma Reddy, AEO's – Sri. Mukundam, ZPTC – Sri. Ch. Laxman Rao, MPP – Smt. Renuka, Sarpanch – Smt. P. Sarojana Devi, Upa Sarpanch – Sri. P. Devaiah, Mandal Cooption member – Sri. Zabbar, Mandal RSS Coordinator – Sri. Shankar, Village RSS Coordinator – Sri. M. Sathi Reddy and Progressive farmer Narsimha Reddy and 50 farmers were participated in this programme.
