D.A.A.T.T.C., Karimnagar organised “Awareness Programme on Alternate Crops after Rice and Cotton follows in Yasangi Season on 27-10-2022 at Garjanapalli village of Rajanna Sircilla District

DAATTC, Karimnagar has organized “Awareness Programme on Alternate Crops after Rice and Cotton follows in Yasangi season at Rythuvedika, Garjanapalli village of Veernapalli mandal in Rajanna Siricilla District. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) & Coordinator explained about the cultivation practices and cut off dates for sowing of different alternate crops to rice in Yasangi, 2022-23 and also informed the farmers about benefits of crop diversification and also encouraged farmers towards cultivation of irrigated dry (ID) crops during current yasangi season. Later Dr. M. Rajendra Prasad explained about the pest and disease management in alternate crops. They emphasized the farmers to subscribe PJTSAU YouTube channel and PJTSAU Vyvasaayam monthly magazine to get information on agriculture and new technologies developed by PJTSAU. They said that farmers can contact directly with the Toll free number 14426 or 1800 123 2175 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry and fisheries. Later they distributed the Mustard seed under Front Line Demonstrations. MAO – Sri.Bhuma Reddy, AEO – Sri.Fazil, Sarpanch– Smt. Karuna Ranjith, PACS Director-Sri. Anandam and Progressive farmers and 30 farmers were participated in this programme.
