DAATTC, Karimnagar organized Farmers Scientists Interaction meeting on Integrated Farming System on the eve of National Farmers Day celebrations on 23-12-2023 at Thadagonda village of Boinpalli mandal in Rajanna Siricilla District. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) & Coordinator, Karimnagar welcomed dignitaries on to the dias and also welcomed the farmers to the programme and briefed about the main essence of the programme. Then the Principal Scientist & Head, ARS, Karimnagar Dr. G. Manjulatha has briefed the importance of suitable Integrated Farming System models based on availability of water and other resources and explained that integration of cropping systems followed by the farmers with allied enterprises by utilizing crop residues, farm wastes as inputs to reduce dependency on outside inputs which results higher net returns per unit area. Later Sri. Bhsker, District Agricultural Officer, Rajanna Siricilla has briefed the importance of crop diversification and also encouraged the farmers to follow the suggestions of scientists in improving the crop yields. Then the Dr. P. Madhukar, Scientist (Pl. Br.), RARS, Polasa has briefed the newly released varieties of PJTSAU and their characteristics. After that Dr. M. Rajendra Prasad, Scientist (CP) has explained about the pest and disease management in paddy especially rice blast and stem borer management during the yasangi season. After that DAATTC, Karimnagar along with dignitaries felicitated the progressive farmers in the village. Sarpanch-Sri. Chindam Ramesh, MPTC-Sri. Uyyala Srinivas, Mandal Agricultural Officer – Smt. Praneetha, Paradeep Phosphate Limited (PPL) company area manager- Sri. Achyuth Reddy and 70 farmers were participated in this programme.
