DAATTC, Karimnagar organized Farmers Scientists Interaction on Improved Crop Residue Management Practices in Field Crops” on the eve of World Soil Day on 05-12-2022 at Rythu Vedika Illanthakunta mandal of Rajanna Sircilla District on 05-12-20222 at Illanthakunta mandal of Rajanna Siricilla district. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) & Coordinator briefed about the importance of soil health and conservation. The farmers were informed that it is very important to know the nutrient content of the soil through frequent soil tests, noting that the soils, in addition to their natural nutrients, provide additional nutrients to the plants through the added organic and chemical fertilizers thus contributing to the crop yield. By this farmers can reduce unnecessary cost for fertilizer application and can also get high and sustainable yields while conserving the soil. He also mentioned about crop residue management, application of organic fertilisers, intercropping, and crop rotation practices for betterment of soil fertility. Later, Dr. M. Rajendra Prasad explained about the pest & disease management in major crops in Yasangi season.
