DAATTC, Karimnagar has organized field day programme on Green gram preceding to rice on 08.07.2021at Venkatraopally of Boinpally (M), Rajanna Sircilla Dist. Dr.P.Jagan Mohan Rao, ADR, RARS, Jagtial chaired the event and addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of green gram cultivation, its role in improving the fertility of soil by the addition of organic carbon and also emphasized farming community about the scope of pulses area expansion with suitable varieties which can be adopted in different cropping systems. Sri. K. Shekar, Scientist (Crop Production) & Coordinator, DAATTC, Karimnagar briefed about the demonstrations carried out on this technology across the districts. Dr. K. Madan Reddy Scientist (ToT) has explained the tools for getting updated agril. information. An exhibition of University developed cultivars were displayed at the venue. DLCC farmers under DAATTC, Progressive, practicing farmers, Officials of the Department of Agriculture, Rajanna Sircilla Dist. were participated. Sri.J. Sajan, Zonal Manager, Sri.Madhusudhan, Senior Agronomist & team of Coramandel International Limited were participated. Along with all dignitaries & farmers visited the green gram field got feedback of farmers. A total of 88 farmers were participated.
