Sri. A Demonstration on In- situ incorporation of Cotton stalks with bio shredder was conducted in cotton field by explaining the benefits of this technology. Sri.K. Shekar, Scientist (Crop Production) & Coordinator, DAATTC, Karimnagar has explained that one of the difficulties in cotton production is the need to clear the ground from old cotton plants after pickings. Only manual uprooting or burning the stalks is followed by many of the cotton growing farmers which are highly labour intensive and causing environmental pollution and extending crop duration causes pink boll worm damage. Incorporation of cotton stalks into the soil ensures rapid decomposition. In this programme Sri.K.Gandhi Rao, Public Representatives Sri.Balraju, Sarpanch, V. Karuna, MPP and local representatives, Sri.Venkatesh, Mandal Agricultural Officer, Gambhiraopet, Staff of DAATTC, Karimnagar, Sai, AEO of the cluser, B.Raju, RSS, Coordinator and 120 farmers were participated.
