DAATTC, Karimnagar organised Sensitization program on “ICT tools, portals and use of mobile apps in agriculture among rural youth” on 23-12-2020 at Rajanna Sircilla District

D.A.A.T.T. Centre, Karimnagar has organized Sensitization Programme on “ICT tools, portals and use of mobile apps in agriculture among rural youth” at Mandepalli village of Thangalapalli mandal in Rajanna Sircilla District. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) gave a detailed description of the mobile apps, portals used in agriculture and gave hands on training to the farmers on the mobile apps of the University and encouraged to download Youtube channel of PJTSAU, UMANG, AKPS and Plantix which aptly serve the immediate need of the farming community. He said that farmers can contact directly with scientists through the IIDS-AKPS Toll free number 1800 425 3141 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry and fisheries. The toll free number can be accessed by the registered farmers under this center and also explained the procedure for registering the farmers in AKPS and how to use AKPS mobile application also given a demo on how to download, how to raise queries in app by text or voice or photograph or video mode. He Emphasized the farmers to get subscribe PJTSAU You Tube channel for latest updates in agriculture technologies. The Mandal Agricultural Officer Sri. Sandeep addressed the farmers gathering regarding the precautions to be taken in paddy nursery during winter season. The Agricultural Extension Officers Sri. Karunakar, Sri. Chandra Prakash, Sarpanch Miss. Shiva Jyothi and around 30 farmers participated in the programme.
