D.A.A.T.T.C., Karimnagar organised “Awareness programme on Rice Minikits under PJTSAU on 03-11-2020 at Shatrajpalli village of Rajanna Sircilla District

D.A.A.T.T. Centre, Karimnagar has organized “Awareness Programme on Minikits under PJTSAU. DAATT Centre Coordinator Mr.K. Shekar, Scientists Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Mr. V. Ratnaker and Dr. Sreedher Siddi, Scientist (Pl.Br.) & Head, ARS, Kunaram and Department officials Mr. Bhasker, ADA, Mr. Chandran Kumar, MAO, Mr. Raaju, AEO and the farmers have participated in this programme. Mr. K. Shekar, Coordinator addressed the farmers on various management practices to be followed for getting higher yields in paddy. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) briefed the PJTSAU rice minikits (KPS 2874, KNM 1638, WGL 962, WGL 1119, JGL 28545, JGL 27356, RNR 21278, RNR 29325, RNR 15435, RNR 15459) distributed to the farmers from the centre. Dr. Sreedher Siddi, Scientist (Pl.Br.) & Head given the information on rice varieties released from Agricultural Research Station, Kunaaram and the performance present minikit KNM 1638 in different areas of the state. Mr. V. Ratnaker explained about the IPM practices to reduce the Brown Plant Hopper and other pest in paddy. Later Mr. Bhasker, ADA interacted with the farmers and encouraged them to cultivate new high yielding varieties.
