A webinar has been organized by Agricultural Research Station and DAATTC Karimnagar on present agricultural operations and pest management in major field crops entitled as “Prastutha Yasangi Pantalalo Chepattavalasina Samagra Yajamanya Padhathulu” on 2nd February, 2021 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm under the chairmanship of Dr. G. Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) & Head. The chief guest of honour, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Jagtial, Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao has addressed the farmers and delivered the need based agro advisories during the present situation. He also Expressed that though the paddy transplanting cut off date is 15th January but still the farmers are continuing transplanting and also to remove the cotton crop immediately for effective management of Pink Boll Worm. Thereafter Dr. G. Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) & Head, ARS, Karimnagar addressed the farmers about crop coverage in the district and crop conditions. Sri. K. Shekar, Scientist (Crop production) & Coordinator, DAATTC, Karimnagar sensitized the farmers on cut worm in rice, remedial measures for overcoming micro-nutrient deficiencies in various crops. The farmers interacted with Scientists on location specific problems. Majorly the farmer enquired on issues related to zinc deficiency, crops to be sown in February, March and precautionary measures for the management of Stem borer, Cut Worm in Rice Yasangi, 2020-21. Agricultural Research Station scientists Dr. A. Vijayabhaskar, Senior scientist; Dr. E. Rajinikanth, Scientist; Dr. G. Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.); Dr. D. Sravani, Scientist (Pl. Br.), DAATT Centre Scientist –Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy participated in the session and also 50 number of farmers covering erstwhile Karimnagar District have participated.
