Labour shortage is one of the major constraints in transplanted rice in Karimnagar District. Even though Machine transplanting is available, majority of the small and marginal farmers are not adopting due to cost of the machinery. These expensive operations can be replaced by direct seeding which can reduce labour needs. Paddy drum seeder is one of the implement which can reduce human drudgery and can implement in the farmers field successfully. In this regard DAATTC, Karimnagar organised Training cum Demonstration on Drum seeder technology in Paddy in the field Sri. Ramana Reddy. Sarpanch, Cherlabuthkur – Ramana Reddy, MPP, Karimnagar – T. Laxmaiah, Upa Sarpanch – Chitkuri Shaker, Village Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Coordinator – D. Jagan Mohan Reddy; DAATT Centre Coordinator – Dr. I. Aruna Sri, Scientists – Mr. K. Sheker & Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy; P.D. ATMA, Karimnagar – Smt. Priyadarshini & their field staff, MAO, Karimnagar Rural – Satyam, AEO- Swarnalatha and 60 farmers are participated.
