DAATTC, Sangupet conducted Diagnostic Field visits in safflower, maize, paddy and mustard on 04-02-2022

The Scientists of DAATTC, Jogipet K. Rahul Vishwakarma, Coordinator, K. Saritha, Scientist (Horticulture), Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist (CP), DAATTC, Tornala, Dr. N. Sainath, Scientist (SSAC), ARS, Tornala visited Koneyala (V), Hathnoora (M) Sangareddy (Dist.) to make field diagnostic visit on rice field and observed stem borer and zinc deficiency. The Scientists recommended to apply carbofuran 3G granules @ 8kg/acre and formula 4 @ 500 g/acre. Visited field of mustard where downy mildew was observed and recommended to spray Metalaxyl @ 2g/lit or Propiconazole @ 1ml/lit. Later, visited maize field where FAW incidence was severe above ETL and recommended to spray Spinotoram @ 0.5ml/lit or Indoxicarb @1ml/lit or Chlorantraniliprole @ 0.3ml/lit along with Neem oil @ 5ml /lit (1500ppm). And also visited Panyal (v), Hathnoora (M), Sangareddy (Dist.) to safflower fields and observed aphids. Recommended Dimethoate @ 2ml/lit, Fipronil @ 2 ml/lit for control of he pests. In this programme, Sri. Srinivasa Rao, AO, Hathnoora, Thrimurthi, AEO, Ravinder Rathod, BTM along with 20 farmers participated.
