Forty students of DAESI 2022-23, 2nd batch, Bhadradri Kothagudem visited to Agricultural College, Aswaraopet on 08.09.2023 as part of their exposure visit. Dr.J.Hemanth Kumar, Associate Dean of the college enlightened the DAESI students about practical scientific know-how that are beneficial to both the para extension professionals and the farming community related to latest technologies in major crops grown in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts. The DAESI course facilitator Sri.G.David Jayapaul Rao have expressed his happiness for the warm welcome received from Agricultural College, Aswaraopet and extended his gratitude to the Associate Dean for his adorable and technical speech. Later DAESI students have visited Soil testing laboratory. Dr.M.Ramprasad, Assistant Professor, Department of SS&AC explained about the soil testing procedures and soil health nutrient management. Dr. P.Reddy Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of Agril. Microbiology demonstrated the production procedures and preparation of biofertilisers. Dr.P.Neelima, Assistant Professor, Department of Horticulture educated the DAESI students about the poly tunnel structures and poly house cultivation practices of vegetable crops and ornamental flowers. Dr.I.V.Sreenivasa Reddy, Professor, Department of Horticulture exposed them to the Oilpalm plantation best management practices in the college farm. Further Dr.K.Naganjali, Assistant Professor, Department of Agronomy explained them the latest vermicompost production technologies and its management practices. Further they have visited Automatic weather station, Mushroom unit and Rice seed production units in the college. Finally two of the students have expressed their views about the visits and extended attitude of gratitude towards all the technical staff for educating them about latest technical know-how.
