An awareness and demonstration program on dry direct seeded rice with ferti cum seed drill was organized at RARS, Jagtial on 23rd June, 2021. In this program Associate Director of Research, Dr.P.Jagan Mohan Rao, RARS, Jagtial has briefed about the entire processs of raising dry direct seeded rice, including management practices from seed to harvesting. Bold seeded variety of JGL 24423 ( Jagtial Rice 1) was sown with ferti cum seed drill. In this programme Jagtial MLA Dr.K.Sanjay Kumar garu participated as chief guest and given suggestions to the farmers to go for adopting this new technology, through which we can save seed quantity, water and labour compared to the normal method of raising nursery and transplanting rice in puddled soil. Dr.K.Sanjay kumar garu appreciated the efforts made by ADR, Dr.P.Jagan Mohan Rao for making an attempt to reach the new technology to the farmers. And also suggested to provide the information to the farmers in Rythu vedikas and also to see the dissemination of the technology to the farmers through demonstrations in the farmers field and in the form of brochures as well, so that it will benefit the farming community. In this programme DAO, Sri. Suresh Garu, Rythu bandu District coordinator Sri. Cheeti venkat rao Garu, AMC Chairman Sri.Damodar Raju Garu, PACS Chaiman, Sri.Ram Reddy Garu, Farmers welfare society members of District and Mandal of Jagtial and progressive farmers from Jagtial and a total number of thirty farmers near by villages of Jagtial, i.e., Vemulavada, Pudur, Velgatur and scientists from RARS, Jagtial were also participated.
