Demonstration on stem application in cotton and training programme on vegetable cultivation at Agricultural College Warangal on 13-08-2021

Village adoption team of Agricultural College Warangal organized demonstration on stem application in cotton and training programme on improved production practices of tomato and chilli and pandal system cultivation of cucurbitaceous vegetables on 13-08-2021 at adopted village, Damera. Method demonstration on stem application in cotton with flonicamide: water (1:20) mix was conducted and yellow sticky traps were installed in Sri Polasani Srinivasa Reddy field for management of sucking pests. Improved technologies like plug tray nursery, mulching, drip irrigation system, fertigation, staking (Tomato) reduces the labour charges, fertilizer cost, weed problems and saves water up to 70 to 80% and also increases 30 to 40% of yield in tomato, chilli and cucurbits vegetables. In addition to above technologies, awareness was created on cultivation of cucurbit vegetables by permanent pandal system which increases the quality yields. Dr. Ch. Anusha, Smt.L.Suhasini and Smt.Ch.Yashaswini and 15 farmers have participated.
