Method Demonstration on Biofertilizers in Adopted village of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Guduru on 1-10-2022

Method Demonstration on Biofertilizers was conducted by Village Adoption Programme team of scientists, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar in the Adopted village, Panchayat office Guduru, on 01-10-2022. The village adoption team created awareness on use of biofertilizers and advantages of biofertilizers. The farmers were explained the importance of biofertilizers as they do not create any pollution problems commonly found with excessive use of chemical fertilizers and these biofertilizers are cheaper than the chemical fertilizers. The scientists demonstrated the application procedure by using 500gms of biofertilizers to be mixed thoroughly in 100kg of FYM and incorporate into the field before field operations. These biofertilizers will enhance the nutrient supply to the plants from the soil and can be applied for all types of agriculture crops during kharif and rabi season. These biofertilizers (Azotobacter, Azospirillum, Rhizobium, Psudomonas, PSB, KRB and ZnSB) are available in PJTSAU on cost basis throughout the year. The method demonstration was conducted under the guidance of VAP Chairman and the Associate Dean Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Convenor Dr. T. Ramesh, Sr. Professor and Head, Crop Physiology, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Adopted village team members Dr K. Shailaja, Department of Soil Science, Dr. I Shakuntala Devi, Agricultural Economics along with adopted village members. Other participants included Sarpanch Byagari Sattaiah, ward members, Panchayath Secretary and about 40 farmers. The village adoption team has given biofertilizers as inputs to farmers and advised to take up application of biofertilizers.
