Agricultural College, Warangal - Village adoption Programme -Diagnostic Field visit on 03.04.2023

Village adoption team made a diagnostic field visit to Adopted village, Kothapeta on 03.04.2023. At present Bottle gourd, Tomato crops are at fruiting stage. Recovering from the unexpected rains during second fortnight of March,2023. Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura fruit boarers are observed in the field. Recommended Thiodiocarb 1gm/Lt, chlorantraniliprole 0.3ml/Lt. It is suggested to apply yellow sticky traps in the field in order to control white flies. Incidences of leaf minors were observed in the field. Maize crop is at grain filling stage (Cobs are formed). Little incidence of Fall army worm is identified, suggested farmers to use the pesticides like Indaxacarb 14.5SC @ 1ml/Lt and Lambdacychlothrin @ 0.5ml/LT alternatively.
