Regional Agricultural Research station, Polasa, Jagtial organized awareness programme on Distribution of soil health cards and awareness on COVID-19 at Adopted village, Veldhurthy. In this programme soil health cards were distributed to the farmers and Dr.B. Raju, Scientist(SSAC) explained about crop wise recommendation of nutrients and fertilizers required for the individual farms by adding that proper usage of soil health card recommendations reduces the cost of cultivation by cutting down unnecessary cost on chemical fertilizers and urged the farmers to follow the recommendations of the soil health cards. Besides this, P. Sadvi, Scientist (Extn), informed the farmers about the safety precautions to be taken for protecting against COVID-19 and asked the farmers about the problems they have faced during the COVID19 lockdown time. In order to address the labour problem during peak season in Paddy it is suggested to go for transplanting and harvesting with Machine. Advised the farmers to wash hands regularly with soap and water and wear mask , maintain social distancing while performing farm operations. Sarpanch B.
