Agricultural College, Adilabad Students Participated in District Level National Youth Festival, Adilabad on 25.9.2024

National Youth Festival (NYF) is organized every Year from 12th to 16th, January. January 12th being the birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great philosopher and thinker, is observed as National Youth Day. The Government of Telangana State have communicated the order with directions and guidelines for the conduct of District Level Youth Festival on 25.9.2024 at ZP Hall Adilabad in the following events for selection and sending the winning candidates (1st place winners) to the State Level Youth Festival to be held at Hyderabad. Further, the winners at State Level will be sent to participate in National level 28th National Youth Festival to be from 12th to 16th January 2025 on the Occasion of 153rd Birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda. In this connection Agricultural College, Adilabad Students also participated in National Youth Festival, at Zilla Parishad Meetinghall, Adilabad on 25th September, 2024 Organized by Department of Youth Service, Adilabad.During this Programme Ag. College, Adilabad students participated in various events like Folk Song (Group), Solo song, Story writing, essay writing, elocution, Painting and Poetry. Further stalls were organised showcasing the models on Drip irrigation based on Solar energy, Integrated Farming system, Smart Farming apart from This programme was inaugurated by Kalanidhini Marripudi, Zilla Parishad Deputy CEO. During her inaugural speech she expressed that Cultural Events are also equally important as that of Education, Hence Students must inculcate the habit of participation in various Cultural Events. Later, District Youth & Sports Officer (DYSO) Venkateshwarlu highlighted that after getting selected the winners in different events will be send to Hyderabad for Participation in National Youth Festival at State level. The inaugural programme was attended by Sri. C. Ravinder Kumar, DIEO and K. Raghu Ramana District Science Officers and All District level Colleges Principals. As a part of this event students of B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, II year students organised a stall showcasing models on different themes like Smart Agriculture, Integrated Farming System and Solar Based Micro -Irrigation System apart from display of Agro- products, value added products (Drumstick leaf powder, Multi grain mixture, powder, multi leaf powder) and handicrafts made out of Agri- wastes. ZP Deputy CEO, DYSO and other district Level Officials appreciated students for their excellent models and explanation by the students. As a part of this event, six students participated in Folk Song (Group) one in solo song & Painting, three in Elocution and four members in story writing and one in Poetry with a total of 20 No’s students from Agricultural College Adilabad. The programme was attended by Dr. B. Rajeswari, Professor (Plant Pathology), i/c Associate Dean, Dr. M. Suresh, OISA, Dr. K. Bhanu Rekha, Professor (Agronomy) and Dr.A. Anitha, Associate Professor (Ento.) and other teaching staff of Agricultural College, Adilabad.
