Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary Celebrations at Agricultural Polytechnic, Kampasagar on 14.04.2022

Ambedkar Jayanthi was celebrated at Agricultural Polytechnic, Kampasagar on 14.04.2022. Dr. I. Swarnalatha Devi, Principal, Mrs. G. Swathi, Assistant Professor (Horti), Mr. V. Narsing Rao, Superintendent, M. Shekar Reddy, Physical Director, and Diploma I and II year students and contract labour have participated in the Programme. On this occation, Essay writing competetion and debate programme was conducted to students of Agricultural Diploma, APT, Kampasagar on the topic “Dr. B R Ambedkar on Freedom, Equality and Fraternity” and prize distribution was done. Dr. I. Swarnalatha Devi said that Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated on April 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. He was a jurist, economist and Dalit leader who headed the committee drafting the Constitution of India and served as the first Law Minister of independent India. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar taught all Indians Equality and Fraternity through the drafting of the Constitution of India, the preamble of which states that all Indians are equal in the eyes of the law and that all Indians are a vast family through the idea of Fraternity.
