Registrar and Director of Research, PJTAU Visit to Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar on 15th October, 2024

Honourable Registrar and Director of Research, PJTAU, Dr. P.Raghu Rami Reddy Garu visited the research station on 15.10.2024 for technical and office inspection and reviewed discipline wise technical programme of work conducted and visited the experimental fields. The Associate Director of Research, RARS, Jagtial, representative Dr D. Srilatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) also participated. Firstly, the field visit of experimental plots of Breeding, Agronomy and Pathology were monitored and suggestions were given for further improvement and also visited Triangle bit, seed godowns, and sunhemp seed production plots. Later the Director of Research verified scientist-wise technical field notebooks, experimental files, Basic Record of all disciplines of Agronomy, Breeding, Pathology. He emphasized to orient the research on land configuration with mechanization, water, nutrient and weed management and climate resilient technologies, to popularize the proven technology of solar fencing for monkey menace problem. Discussed with the scientists to document the new technologies, innovative systems, ITKs, success stories followed by the farmers and various strategies to increase maize area in the zone in existing cropping systems viz., Paddy-Maize, Maize-Maize, and cotton-Maize.
