Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal has organized a new innovative demonstration on drone spraying technology at Krishna Nagar village, Sangem Mandal, Warangal rural in farmers (Sri. Mekala Mallaiah) field under the project of “Evaluation and standardization of Plant protection solutions using drones in cotton” sponsored by PJTSAU on 06.10.2020. The meeting was chaired by Dr R. Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU and other dignitaries viz., Smt Usha Dayal, District Agricultural officer (Warangal Urban & Rural), Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal, Sri Mohan, Sarpanch and team of scientists of PJTSAU (of drone validation team) & RARS, Warangal. Dr. B. Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology), cotton & Principal Investigator of drone cotton project, RARS, Warangal has explained about the objectives and protocol of the experiment, which is under study to all the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Usha Dayal, District Agricultural officer (Warangal Urban & Rural) emphasized on labour problem in spraying and also the subsidy available for drone purchasing, besides drone advantage in quick & accurate spraying etc. Dr. R. Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU who presided the meeting has addressed the gathering and explained about the application of artificial intelligence in Agriculture, electric farming and other innovative approaches which are going to be implemented in PJTSAU for the benefit of Telangana farming community. He requested farmers to give correct feed back regarding the results of drone Experiment.
