Field Day on “Drum Seeding Method of Paddy Cultivation” Organised by DAATTC, Warangal at Chityala, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District on 13-11-2020

District Agriculture Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centre (DAATTC), Warangal in coordination with Department of Agriculture organized field day on Drum Seeding method of Paddy cultivation (KNM 118 variety) in one acre field of N. Devender reddy, Nainpaka village, Chityala Mandal on 13.11.2020. Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal, attended as guest speaker and apprised the famers about importance of drum seeding in paddy, soil health management and importance of pulse crops etc., later Sri J. Vijay, Scientist, DAATTC, explained in detailed about drum seeding method of cultivation, weeding and fertilizer schedule to be followed, Dr. U. Nagabhusanam, Senior Scientist, Agronomy explained about nursery management in Rabi, Dr. K. Rukimini Devi, Senior scientist, briefed about Yasangi varieties of paddy and their characters, Sri Raghupathi MAO, Chityala apprised about marketing issues FAQs, and procurement procedures to be followed. The programme was followed by field visit, during interaction all the queries were clarified and farmers expressed satisfaction over the crop performance and their eillingness to take up the technology in big way.About 80 farmers from Nainpaka, Chainapaka, Jadalpet and Challa Gariga villages participated in the meeting.
