64th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar on 6th December, 2020

District Agriculture Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centre (DAATTC), Warangal organized method demonstration cum training programme on Drum Seeding method of Paddy cultivation (KNM 1638 variety) in 3acres field at Gopalpur village, Elkaturthy Mandal, Warangal Urban District on 09-12-2020. Dr. K. Rukimini Devi, Senior scientist, Rice section, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal, attended as guest speaker and briefed about Yasangi varieties of paddy and their characters and explained about nursery management in Rabi Rice, later Sri J. Vijay, Scientist, Crop Production, DAATTC, apprised the famers about importance of drum seeding in paddy and explained in detailed about drum seeding method of cultivation, weed management and fertilizer schedule to be followed. The programme was followed by field visit, during interaction all the queries were clarified and farmers expressed satisfaction over the crop performance and their willingness to take up the technology in big way specially during rabi. About 20 farmers from Gopalpur, Jeelugula, and Indranagar villages participated in the meeting.
