EEI - A four day off Campus training programme was organized at EEI, Hyderabad from 27th – 30th December 2023

Supply chains are principally concerned with the flow of products and information between supply chain member organizations, procurement of materials, transformation of Materials into finished products, and distribution of those products to end customers. The Off Campus training programme was organized at EEI, Hyderabad from 27th – 30th December 2023. Contents were covered in the programme – sustainable value and supply chain management – an overview, supply and value chain models in livestock sector, experience sharing by entrepreneurs, programs and schemes of government for exports in livestock sector, supply and value chain models in poultry, processing and value addition facilities in nrc on meat, value chain in meat animal production, slaughter and value added meat products processing, management of export quality commodities in livestock value chain, role of ICTs in livestock sector. During field visit, visited National Research Centre on Meat Chengicherla, Hyderabad (Processing and value addition facilities value chain in meat animal production). During inauguration, Dr.JaganMohan Reddy in his inaugural address stated that The role of the extension agent was to help farmers produce more, which was an effective strategy when most farmers sold their goods directly to government. However, farming conditions and circumstances have changed and farmers currently work with or compete with local and international to sell their goods at prices that enable them to cover their production costs and provide them with a profit. The new extension agent needs to support farmers in several areas. Help farmers to enhance their productivity by using sustainable and climate smart production methods, Support farmers in organizing themselves, to benefit from economies of scale and gain improved equity and trust through building their social capital. During valedictory, The valedictory program was chaired by Dr.S.Ramchander Director, Animal Husbandry Emphasized that different fodder varieties to cultivate for feeding live stock to improve milk production and meat production. Vaccines like Theileria and blue tongue vaccines used to protect cattle against East Coast fever and blue tonnage virus. A total of 30 trainees participated from Department of Animal Husbandry Telangana state. The Participants expressed high satisfaction with the program's content, delivery, and practicality. They expressed that supply chains are principally concerned with the flow of products and information between supply chain member organizations—procurement of materials, transformation of materials into finished products, and distribution of those products to end customers. Today’s information-driven, integrated supply chains are enabling organizations to reduce inventory and costs, add product value, extend resources, accelerate time to market, and retain customers.
