EEI, Hyderabad conducted 'Farmers Sensitization cum Training Programme' on 22-12-2023

EEI Organized Farmers sensitization cum Training programme as part NABARD sponsored project on 'Phygital Facilitation for enhancement of Farmers Profitability through the concept of Mobile Agri Support Services ( MASS)' at Gunturpally village of Chityal Mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally dist. on 22-12-2023. Farmers were oriented on importance of acquiring right information for it's usage for right purpose to derive maximum benefit through various physical and digital sources and channels. They were briefed about crop diversification, application of modern technologies like drones, advanced farm machinery, establishing robust supply & value chains in major crops, formation of FPOs for procuring need based inputs at right time with reasonable price and to market crop produce at remunetive price. They were also sensitized on availing advance forecast on weather conditions to take up precautionary measures to avert adversary conditions, importance of nano fertilizers like urea and DAP, establishing custom hiring centres for timely procurement of agril machinery to attend various agri operations, importance of soil testing and application of INM, IPM and IDM. Demonstration was organized on usage of drones in land use planning, application of spray fluids to control pests & diseases in various crops, mechanism of videoconferencing between remote scientists and farmers to get timely advisories and soil sample collection, soil testing and application of soil health card results. Puvvati Rani, Sarpanch, Gunturpally village, Shri Srinivas, Krishi Tantra, representatives of IFFCO, Kisan Link and Vyomic drones, 150 Farmers were participated in the program. The program was jointly implemented by EEI, PJTSAU, EEEIPL, and NABARD.
