EEI, Hyderabad Celebrates Mahila Kisan Diwas – 2021, through Online Webinar
EEI, Hyderabad celebrates Mahila Kisan Diwas – 2021, which falls on October 15th every year, by organizing an online webinar on the theme “Women in Agri Startups: Creating Vale with Supply Chain Management” on 6th November, 2021. Two lead sessions on “Role of Women in Atmanirbhar Bharat” by Ms. Glory Swaroopa, Director General, ni-msme, Hyderabad and “Creating Value with Supply Chain Management in Agri Startups” by Ms. Sridevi Nune, Director, Urban Entrepreneurship, we Hub, Hyderabad were organized as a part of the webinar. 5 women entrepreneurs and 2 women farmers were honored online during the webinar in recognition to their service in agri and allied sectors. These women belonged to different client states and sectors of EEI. The webinar was conducted in response to the call given by Ministry of Agriculture, National Gender Research Centre, Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi and was coordinated by Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI and Dr. M. Preethi, Professor, EEI. The webinar was attended by 250 participants comprising of officials Shri. Manish Bhatia, Director, Administration and Dr. Punam Tiwari Sharma, Joint Director (WP) from MoA, AC&FW, New Delhi, faculty, staff and students of PJTSAU and EEI, Hyderabad, officers from all client states (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Odisha) and UTs (Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Puducherry), women entrepreneurs and women farmers.
