EEI, Hyderabad - Promotion of Technologies and Extension Strategies for Value Addition and Post Harvest Technologies - Horticulture, TS
The valedictory programme of the online training programme on Promotion of Technologies and Extension Strategies for Value Addition and Post Harvest Technologies to Horticulture officers of Telangana which started on 8-11-2021was held on 11-11-2021 at EEI, PJTSAU, Hyderabad. 16 participants from the Horticulture sector of Telangana State attended the programme which was coordinated by Dr. M Preethi, Professor, EEI. The valedictory programme was chaired by Dr. S. Chandra Shekar, Director I/C EEI, who mentioned that Value addition and Post Harvest Management of Horticulture products is the need of the hour. He further mentioned that though Horticulture is contributing to 30% to India’s GDP its income from exports is very low due to low value addition. Expressing their impressions about the programme, the participant officers said that all the sessions were dealt with precision and expertise and that they have learnt many new dimensions of value addition and post-harvest management through this programme. They also said that they would definitely integrate these learnings in their job roles and take them forward.
