EEI, Hyderabad organized online training programme on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Programmes and Projects

Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation are at the heart of learning based approach to management. Project management owes its importance in the present scenario as it enables in effective formulation of development programmes based on feedback obtained. With this backdrop, EEI, Hyderabad organized a four day online training programme from 20th to 23rd December, 2021 to the Animal husbandry officers of Telangana state. Thirty participants took part in the programme. The contents envisaged were problem based iterative adaptation, Bennett hierarchy, logical frame work analysis, tools, methods and designs that can be used at each of stages of project management cycle. Usage of GIS in project management was also covered. Technical and soft skills in project management were the core contents delivered during the four days. Dr. V. Anitha, Dean of PG studies gracing the eve of valedictory function said that resource is a very important input which is getting depleted fast, hence for its effective utilisation and equitable distribution, planning is very much needed. She emphasized that management of resources, men and machine related problems are very critical for goal attainment. Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI, Hyderabad felt that effective feedback mechanism and back end management needs to be plugged-in into the system for effective project management. He indicated that Project manager needs to encourage, inspire and empower his team in granular planning through proper work delegation which forms the basis for successful implementation. Dr. A. Sailaja and Dr. R. Vasantha, Professors, EEI coordinated this four day training programme.
