EEI, Hyderabad organized training programme of the on-campus training programme on Communication and Documentation Skills for Professional Excellence from 28th June – 2nd July, 2021. Contents of the programme include Communication and Documentation Skills – An Overview; Reading and Listening Skills for Effective Communication; New Generation Tools for Effective Communication : Creation of YouTube Channel and Uploading Videos; Non-Verbal Communication Skills; Report Writing. Data Analysis and Interpretation; Facilitation and Feedback Management Skills for Effective Documentation; Documentation Methods and Techniques; Writing of Success Stories and Case Studies; Presentation Skills. Earlier during the inaugural session on 28thJune 2022, Dr.M. Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed the participants and reiterated the fact that Communication skills allows us to understand and be understood by others. These include effectively communicating ideas to others, actively listening in conversations, giving and receiving critical feedback and public speaking,while Documentation encourages knowledge sharing and empowers us tounderstand how processes work, avoid duplication, serve as reference material and show us what finished reports typically look like. Hence, he requested the participants to make full use of the programme. Expressing their impressions about the programme, the participant officers said that all the sessions were dealt with precision and expertise and that they have learnt many new dimensions of Communication and Documentation through this programme. The many practicals combined with theory sessions reinforced their learning and would definitely go a long way in improving their professional excellence. The valedictory programme was chaired byDr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR- NAARM, Hyderabad and was presided over by Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI, Hyderabad. During his valediction address Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao discussed on the need for communicating, variations in communicating with different cadre personnel, elements that go in for an effective communication, necessity for documentation and many for the benefit of the participants. 40 participants from the departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Forestry representing Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Odisha states attended the programme, which was coordinated by Dr. M. Preethi and Dr. P. Vijaya Lakshmi Professors, EEI.
