EEI, Hyderabad, Valedictory of Online Training Programmes on 21st to 25th September, 2021
The valedictory programme of the online training programme on Waste management in Agriculture and Allied Sectors was conducted on 25.9.2021, which was started from 21st to 25th September, 2021at EEI, PJTSAU, Hyderabad. 56 participants from the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands representing Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Fisheries KSSRDI and OCTDMS attended the programme. The programme was tailor made to the officers by incorporating sessions on Waste management in Agriculture and Allied Sectors – An overview, Composting from Agri Waste – Models and casestudies, Wealth from Waste, Role of Crop Residues in Organic Crop Production, Bio – Energy from Agriculture Waste and Soil Conditioner from Water Hyacinth, Waste Management for Organic Tomorrow, IFS – Resource Recycling, Waste Management in Sericulture, Waste Management in Fisheries Sector, Livestock Waste Management, Production of Bio Formulations using Agriculture Waste, Current Best Practices followed by GHMC in Solid Waste Management and Gender role in waste management. The valedictory programme was chaired by Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI Who in his address stressed the importance and need of the Waste management in agriculture and allied sectors and how to address the hazardous and non hazardous waste materials, innovative methods, various forms of waste disposable techniques. He urged the participants to translate the knowledge to our farming community. All the participants appreciated the content and methodology of the programme. They said that this is very important and need of the hour.The programme was coordinated by Dr. P. Vijaya Lakshmi, Professor and Dr. I. Sreenivasa Rao, Sr. Professor, EEI, Hyderabad.
