Gender Inclusive Priorities for achieving Sustainable Development Goals Extension Education Institute, Hyderabad had conducted a webinar on ‘Gender Inclusive Priorities in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals’ on 9th June, 2023. The webinar was a part of the call given by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi, to organize G20 side events in Telangana in the form of meetings/ events/ workshops, in view of G20 Presidency of India. Around two hundred participants joined the webinar, which was held in hybrid mode. The introductory remarks for the webinar were given by Sri. Sanjay Khalikar, Joint Director, Extension, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi and Dr. V. Sudha Rani, Director of Extension, PJTSAU, while Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI, Hyderabad welcomed the gathering. Sri. Sanjay Khalikar spoke on the importance of women participation in achieving SDGs, while Dr. V. Sudha Rani, focused on creating enabling environment to women for mainstreaming their participation to achieve SDGs. The Speaker for the webinar was Dr. M. Preethi, Professor, EEI, who in her presentation elaborated on India’s position in each of the 17 SDGs, their targets to be achieved, the present status, government interventions, progress achieved so far and best practices across the country in achieving each SDG. Her session was followed by interaction from the audience both online and offline, who shared their state interventions and related success situations. The canvas of participants included trainees from on campus programme who participated physically, trainees from online programme, other client state officers from agri and allied sectors who joined online, EEI faculty, Staff and students from colleges of Agriculture and Community Sciences, Hyderabad. The webinar concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. D. Shireesha, Assistant Professor, EEI.
