Training programme on Promotion of technologies and extension strategies for value addition and post harvest management at EEI, Hyderabad on 27-09-2021
A four day off campus online training programme on “Promotion of technologies and extension strategies for value addition and post harvest management” for the officers of agriculture department, Telangana was inaugurated on 27.09.2021 at EEI, Hyderabad. Dr.M.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI on his inaugural address envisaged the importance of quality production in the LPG era besides sensitizing the officers on the role of value addition and processing to increase the income of farmers. Dr.A.Sailaja coordinator of this programme carved the training module under the able guidance of the Director, EEI. Dr.M.Preethi, Professor, EEI felicitated in the inaugural programme by extending a warm welcome of the 25 agricultural officers of Telangana who have been nominated for the programme. The training content included topics on present status, challenges & opportunities in value addition and post harvest management in cereals, millets, pulses and oilseeds compiled with IR enabled marketing strategies and ITKs to be followed. The Director, EEI appealed the officers to promote community approach on a warfooting mode in post harvest management. The Scientist from various ICAR institutes viz., IIRR, CIRCOT, CIRE, CIPHET would be involved in these four day scientific deliberations. The training methodologies included interactive lectures and various group discussion techniques viz., brain storming, panel forum and assignments. The programme will be concluding on 30.09.2021
