Engineer’s day celebrations at college of agricultural engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy on 15.09.2023

The Engineer’s day was celebrated on the birth day of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on 15.09.2023 at college of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy. On this occasion the Chief Guest Dr. T. V. Satyanarayana, Retd. Dean (AE& T), Registrar, ANGRAU and Dr. Seema, Dean (AE & T), PJTSAU preside over the programme. Under the technical guidance of Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean, CAES, a workshop was organized on “Emerging Trends in Agricultural Engineering for Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security”. In this workshop Dr. T. V. Satyanarayana, delivered a lecture on “on-farm irrigation management”, Dr. A. S Rao, Agronomist (Rtd.), TAFE Project, PJTSAU delivered resource lecture on “Precision Farming, Automation Techniques and Frtigation”, Sri. N. Ayyanna Naidu, CEO, Sri Tirumala Venkateswara Agro private Ltd Hyd delivered and demonstrated “IOT in Soil testing and Drones application in Agriculture” and Dr. K.H. Rao, Principal Scientist,(Rtd.), ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad guest lecture delivered on “Emerging trends and technologies in food processing for International Trade”.On this occasion the chief guest Dr. T. V. Satyanarayana inspired the students, to set goals, to achieve with hard work and dedication for bright and successful academics in future. Dr. Seema, Dean (AE & T), emphasized the need for the Food security and impact of Climate change on it. She said the set sustainability development goals and necessity of role of a engineering in conjunction with economics. Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean addressed the gathering about Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya’s contribution, achievements, importance of Engineer’s day and the significant achievements of CAE, Sangareddy. On this occasion the retired professors Dr. G. Arvind Reddy, Dr. P. Sdhakar Reddy and Dr. D. Vaidyanath were felicitated with University shawls and college mementos. All the teaching and non-teaching, out sourcing, watch & ward and students were actively participated and made the celebrations a grand success. A cultural programme to high light the role of engineering in contemporary works was organized and students actively participated. Prizes/Certificates were distributed to winners of various competitions /events organized on this occasion.
