The College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy, celebrated Engineer's Day in honor of the birth anniversary of “Bharatha Rathan Sir MokshagundamVisvesvaraya”. Dr. P. Raghurami Reddy, The Registrar and The Director of Research, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, served as the Chief Guest for the event, while Dr. K. Sadasiva Rao, Retired Dean of Agricultural Engineering & Technology and Dr. D. Kalpana graced the occasion as Special Guests. In addition, 78 alumni of the college, who recently secured government jobs as Assistant Executive Engineers (Department of Irrigation and CAD), were also invited as honored guests. The program was inaugurated by Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean. In his address, he spoke about the significance of agricultural engineering and highlighted the contributions of Sir MV (MokshagundamVisvesvaraya). He also outlined the ongoing development initiatives at the college and appreciated the recent success of the alumni in securing prestigious positions, felicitating them for their achievements. Dr. P. Raghurami Reddy, Registrar, emphasized the role of Agricultural Engineering in the progress of farmers. He underscored the importance of incorporating technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Drone Technology, and Remote Sensing & GIS in Agriculture. He urged the youth to embrace these innovations, which can make farming more cost-effective and profitable. The Registrar expressed heartfelt Congratulations and Blessed all the selected AEE’s on the Occasion of Engineers Day. Dr. Sadasiva Rao, the former Dean, addressed the gathering with pride. He congratulated the alumni who studied between 2011 and 2018 for their accomplishment of securing positions as Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE)which he described as a great honor for the college. He also recalled the college’s journey from its inception and highlighted his contributions toward its growth. On this occasion, Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean felicitated Dr. K. Sadasiva Rao for his invaluable contributions to the Faculty and Institution and acknowledged his service to the field of agricultural engineering. Additionally, the Associate Dean also felicitated the Assistant Executive Engineers with memento who were recently selected for government positions. The event saw active participation from staff and students, all of whom made the celebrations a grand success.
