KVK, Malyal conducted an exposure visit under DAPSC (SCSP), 2024-25 to Water technology center and AICRP on IFS unit of PJTAU, TAFE - Product Training Institute and ICAR-IIMR Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 27-01-2025. Dr. J. Ravindar, Scientist (SSAC), AICRP on IFS, PJTAU, briefed about importance of IFS Model for small and marginal farmers, components and advantages of IFS, farmers success stories, later showed Vermicompost unit, poultry unit, sheep rearing unit and other demo units maintained at AICRP on IFS. Dr. D. Rajini, Scientist (Horticulture), Water Technology center explained about importance of drip and sprinkler irrigation system, mulching and terrace gardening and showed the demo unit. Dr. A. S. Rao Advisor, TAFE-PTC, briefed about objectives and different training programmes conducted by the institute, later showed different farm equipments and explained importance in different agriculture operations. Dr. A. Srinivas, Scientist (Extension). ICAR-IIMR, Rajendranagar, explained Production technology, processing and value addition of millets and success stories of millet farmers and later showed the millet processing and different millet products. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) along with 30 farmer beneficiaries from 3 SCSP adopted villages (Jamandlapally and Kambalapalli of Mahabubabad Mandal & Kolhapur of Gudur Mandal) participated in the programme.
