Exposure visit for adopted village farmers was organized at RARS, Polasa, Jagial on 05.10.2019. Associate Director of Research, RARS, Polasa, Jagtial, Dr. R. Uma Reddy inaugurated the event and stated the importance of village adoption and interacted with the farmers . Smt. P. Sadvi, i/c Village adoption organized the programme and briefed about the activities conducted in the village. On this event Sri.P. Gonya Nayak guided the farmers in visiting the farm and explained about the Paddy varieties i.e. Pradhyumna, JGL 24423, Bathukamma, Jagtial Sannalu. After the field visit farmers visited the soil testing lab and got acquainted with the procedure of soil analysis showed by Dr.B. Raju , later Dr. P. Ravi showed the vermicompost unit explained about the procedure of preparation of vermicompost. Farmers interacted with the scientists of the research station and got clarification for their field problems. Sri.P. Madhukar Rao, conducted a lecture on integrated farming system through which farmer can derive additional income. Dr. N. Balram showed the symptoms of disease incidence in plants and explained about the recommended control measures to be taken for control of the disease. Smt. D.A. Rajini Devi educated the farmers on benefits of formation of cooperative societies. Scientists of RARS, Dr. B. Laxmi Prasanna, Miss. N. Navatha, Smt. B. Madhavi, Village officials, Upasarpanch Burra Sri Ramesh Goud, PACS Chairman, Sri Kamalakar Rao, RSS Co- Convener, Sri Sanjeev Reddy , RSS members, farmers participated in the programme.
