Farmers Day on 18-12-2019 at Khammam organized by KVK, Wyra and TAFE

Farmer’s day is organized by TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, Khammam on 18th December, 2019. TAFE promote awareness to help and reward farmers for their contribution to the farmers. The programme started with lamp lighting and floral tributes to Late Mr.A.Sivasailam (Former Chairman, TAFE). After then, the welcome address is given by Dr.K.Srinivasan, Chief Scientist-Agricultural Research, J FARM. A brief note on the farmers day event is given by Mr.S.Ramakrishnan, Senior Vice President – CSR & Culture, TAFE. Inauguration & Presidential Address is given by the Chief Guest Dr.P.Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal. On the event of day speakers Dr.J.Hemantha Kumar, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Wyra has given power point presentation and awareness to the farmers on Chilli pest and diseases, Dr.P.Sri Ranjitha, SMS(Agronomy) has given power point presentation and awareness to the farmers on different rice establishment techniques and production technology. A live demo and briefing about JFarm services Mobile App is given by the instructor. Dr.K.Ravi Kumar, SMS(Entomology) has given power point presentation on the Pink Boll Worm management in Cotton and Fall Army Worm management in Maize. Dr.S.Malathi, Principal Scientist (Entomology) and Dr.A.Sudarshanam, Principal Scientist(Cotton), RARS, Warangal has given remarks on the eve of farmers day. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.A.L Kumarappan, Associate Vice President (Marketing), TAFE. Awards given to outstanding farmers in various different fields.
