Farmers - Scientist Interaction Programme by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli

KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial district participated as a knowledge resource center for the “Farmers – Scientists Interaction Programme” organized by ATMA and Department of Agriculture Mancherial District at Gollapalli village of Nennela mandal Mancherial District on 15th December, 2020. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial addressed the farmers on measures to be taken for the coming yasangi crops likely pre-planting treatment, zinc deficiency management, blast management, importance of integrated pest management practices for the management of yellow stem borer in rice crop and the pink boll worm management practices in the cotton etc. has been explained and organized an interaction session with the farmers of the villages and suggested the farmers with suitable recommendations in the major crops cultivating in the district. Further Sri. Vinod Kumar, District Agriculture Officer, Mancherial addressed the farmers to avoid the cultivation of Herbicide Tolerant Cotton in the next season and requested the farmers to cooperate with Department of Agriculture to eradicate the cultivation of Herbicide Tolerant Cotton in the district. For this programme, Sri. Nagaraju Alugoju, SMS (Plant Protection), Dr. B. Sathish, SMS (Agro Meteorology), Sri. Inthiyaz Ahmad, A.D.A., Bheemini, Smt. Surekha, A.D.A., Bellampalli, Sri. Sudhakar, A.O. (Tech.), Sri. Srikanth, M.A.O., Nennela, Sri. Ramchander, Sri. Srinivas, Smt. Mounika, Ms. Soumya and Ms. Supraja, Smt. Shashikala, Sarpanch (Gollapalli) and 85 No. of farmers were participated.
