Organized Field Day on CFLD-Redgram at Khanapur village, KVK Palem on 22.01.2025

KVK Palem has organized a field day on Redgram crop on 22.01.2025 at Khanapur village of Bijinepally mandal of Nagarkurnool district. as part of conducting Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) on Pulses by KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist during Kharif, 2024-25. The CFLD on Redgram has been taken up in six clusters namely Parvathapur (20 no), Thurkaplly (22 no.) Vasanthapur (14), Turkapally (30), Khanapur (28 no.) and mahaboobnagar clusters (100 no.). Dr.T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem has explained the importance of CFLD Pulses and critical input role in enhancing the yield levels in Redgram crop. It is clearly told that under chronic dry spell which is reeling in the district the Redgram is going to fetch high net return. CFLD i/c Dr.B.Rajashekar, SMS(Extension) given brief information on the critical inputs provided under CFLD-Redgram to the farmers per acre are- Seed of TDRG-59 3Kg, Pendimithalin 1lt., Imazythapyr 250ml, Rhizobium 200gr, Neem Oil 1lt, 19.19.19 1Kg and Emmamectin benzoate 100grams. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about benefits of timely practicing of plant protection practices entire crop period with IPM mode and briefed about yasangi crops pest and diseases management. Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production) brifed about integrated weed management practices in major crops. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS(Horticulture) explained about best management practices in chilli and other vegetables. Crop cutting experiment was taken up to assess the yield level as well as the biometric observations recorded are- Crop height-1.7m, no. of branches per plant are-14, no. of pods per branch are-28 and no. of seeds per pod are-4. Field day was conducted in one of the CFLD farmers field of Sri.B. Anjaneyulu, Khanapur Parvathapur Village, Bijinepally mandal of Nagarkurnool dist. In this programme, KVK, Palem staff, best progressive farmers, AEO and a total of 56 farmers were participated in the event.
